The device is step-tuned between the TE1,2 (24.16 GHz) and TE0,2 (31.78 GHz) modes with cathode voltages ranging from 30 to 40 kV and beam current. up to 5.0 A. Experimental frequencies are in close agreement with the self-consistent calculated values and in the TE2,2 resonator mode an output peak power of 6 kW corresponding to an 18% efficiency was measured by using a fast, response calorimeter with a thermal sensitivity of 0.1 degrees C/W min.. %8 Nov %N 11 %T Operation of a 32 GHz gyrotron %@secondarytype PRE PI %K plasmas, cyclotron resonance devices. %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE-13731-PRE/8921 %@copyholder SID/SCD %@issn 0195-9271 %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m16@80/2006/05.18.12.57.26 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Fukui University %@affiliation Fukui University %@project Girotron %B International Journal of Infrared and Millimeter Waves %P 2147-2160 %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m16@80/2006/05.18.12.57 %D 1997 %V 18 %A Barroso, Joaquim José, %A Castro, Pedro José de, %A Pimenta, Alexandre Alvares, %A Spassov, V.
