It is assumed that the dynamical system is formed by two main bodies in circular orbits and a cloud of particles in planar motion. The goal is to study the change of the orbit of this cloud after the close approach with the planet. It is assumed that all the particles have semi-major axis a ±Delta a and eccentricity e ±Delta e before the close approach with the planet. It is desired to known those values after the close approach. %N 3 %T A "Patched Conics" description of the swing-by of a group of particles %@electronicmailaddress prado@dem.inpe.br %K astrodynamics, swing-by, orbital maneuvers. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup marciana %@usergroup simone %@group DMC-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE--PRE/ %@issn 1562-8353 %@issn 1813-7385 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1916/2005/12.14.12.17.01 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %B Nonlinear Dynamics and Systems Theory %@versiontype publisher %P 265-271 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1916/2005/12.14.12.16 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2005 %V 5 %A Prado, Antonio Fernando Bertachini de Almeida, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES. %@area ETES
