Chaos communication explores chaotic synchronization to transmit information appropriately codified on the chaotic invariant set. This work studied control techniques and chaos synchronization, taking advantage of the chaotic evolution of the Chua circuit operating in double scroll regime and Lorenz system. Two forms were approached to taking advantage of peculiar characteristics of chaotic systems to transmit information. The first form uses small perturbation to encode the information in the symbolic dynamics of the double scroll system. The second one uses chaotic oscillations to mask the codified chaotic signal. The performance of the system is investigated, as well as its behavior when used to transmit information over a model of a real channel with limited bandwidth. %N 2-8 %T Chaos over chaos: A new approach for satellite communication %@secondarytype PRE PI %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup banon %@usergroup simone %@group LAC-INPE-MCT-BR %3 chaos over.pdf %@copyholder SID/SCD %@secondarykey INPE-13285-PRE/8527 %@issn 0094-5765 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1916/2005/12.14.14.54.40 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, Laboratório Associado de Computação e Matemática  Aplicada, (INPE, LAC) %B Acta Astronautica %@versiontype publisher %P 230-238 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1916/2005/12.14.14.54 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2005 %V 57 %A Marinho, Cmp, %A Macau, Elbert Einstein Nehrer, %A T., Yoneyama, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES; COMPENDEX. %@area COMP
