We used a technique in which the LASCO images are divided in angular slices and placed side by side at different observation times, thus producing height-time diagrams. We identify a small deceleration of the July 25th halo CME around the south pole of the sun. %8 Jan.-Mar. %N 1 %T Deceleration observed in the coronal mass ejection event of July 25, 1999 %K Coronal mass ejection, LASCO, SOHO, deceleration, image processing, height-time diagrams. %@secondarytype PRE PN %@group DGE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group RSU-INPE-MCT-BR %@copyholder SID/SCD %@secondarykey INPE-10870-PRE/6326 %2 sid.inpe.br/marciana/2004/07.08.11.03.43 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais %@affiliation Max Planck Institut für Aeronomie, Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany, %@affiliation Instituto de Astronomía y Física del Espacio, Buenos Aires, Argentina, %@affiliation Centro Regional Sul de Pesquisas Espaciais, Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, %B Geofísica Internacional %@language English %P 41-45 %4 sid.inpe.br/marciana/2004/07.08.11.03 %D 2004 %V 43 %A Dal Lago, Alisson, %A Schwenn, R., %A Stenborg, G., %A González-Alarcon, Walter Demétrio, %A González, Alicia Luiza Clúa de, %A Vieira, Luiz Eduardo Antunes, %A Echer, Ezequiel, %A Guarnieri, Fernando Luís, %A Schuch, Nelson Jorge, %@area CEA
