To achieve this requirement, we have developed three basic circuit configurations in our laboratory: pulse forming network (PFN), hard-tube pulser (HT) and Blumlein line. In this paper we discuss these three types of circuit topologies. As experimental results, first we present the voltage/current characteristic waveforms of PFN and HT pulsers in the PIII treatment of different materials (aluminum, silicon and stainless steel) as well we describe the surface characterization of the materials thereof treated. And finally,we show recent high voltage tests of a high voltage Blumlein pulser (150kV/300A/1mus) to be used in surface treatments of polymers and aluminum alloys. %8 Dec. %N 4b %T Pulsed power modulators for surface treatment by plasma immersion ion implantation %@secondarytype PRE PN %K Circuit topologies, PLASMA, Hard-tube pulser, Genaratior, Long, KV,Plasma immersion ion implantation, PLASMA, Gerador, Implantação iônica por imersão a plasma, Topologias de ciruito. %@visibility shown %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@group LAP-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE-12811-PRE/8101 %@copyholder SID/SCD %@issn 0103-9733 %2 sid.inpe.br/marciana/2005/06.28.11.14.58 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, Laboratorio Associado de Plasma (INPE, LAP) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, Laboratorio Associado de Plasma (INPE, LAP) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, Laboratorio Associado de Plasma (INPE, LAP) %@project Implantação Iônica por Imersão em Plasma (IIIP) %B Brazilian Journal of Physics %P 1565-1571 %4 sid.inpe.br/marciana/2005/06.28.11.14 %D 2004 %V 34 %A Rossi, José Osvaldo, %A Ueda, Mário, %A Castro, Joaquim José Barroso de, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES; SCIELO. %@area FISPLASMA
